San Pah Phaya Prai Forest Park is located in Baan Phaya Prai Li Too+Lao Ma and Phaya Prai Lao Jor, Moo 5 and Moo 6 Terdthai Sub district, Mae Fah Luang District, Chiang Rai Province and Situated in the Pa Naam Mae Kum, Pa Naam Mae Salong and left side of Pa Naam Mae Chan National Reserve Forest. According to the Security Councils resolution, Mae Fah Luang-Mae Chan is still appointed to be in the Conservation Forest Area (Zone C) with total area of approximately 3,000 rais which the Royal Forest Department declaved this Forest Park on November 20th, 1997.
Topography
Mountain range with Doi Pa Mai Kea (pine) being the highest range. The highest mountain top is 1,291 meters above mean sea level, with average slope of 30-40%. Eastern side of the mountain is a steep and deep cliff, 400 meters to the creek. Besides, there are also other creeks originating from Doi Pa Mai Kea and also a moderate height waterfall with running water throughout the year.
Climate
Tropical Monsoon with influence from South-Westerly wind during rainy seasons and North-Easterly wind during winter. There are 3 seasons altogether in this area Rainy Season from June to September, Winter from October to February with average temperature of 10-15 degree Celsius and Summer from March to May which will normally be hot and humid with average temperature of 28-38 degree Celsius.
Flora and Fauna
Hill everygreen forest with thick vegetations. Both trees perennial and ground covering plants such as ferns, cycads, snake wood, Siam weed. Perennials trees found are pine, wild mango, evergreen chinkapin and sonchampa.
Common found wildlife boar are wild pig, monkey, deer, rabbit, red junglefowl, hawks, snakes and cicada.
