Khun Pa-wor National Park is situated in an approximate area of 220 square kilometers or 137,350 rai, covering the areas of Pa Sam-muen National Conserved Forest, Tak Province. The geographical features of the National Park consist of virgin forests, which are the sources of streams and rivers. There are different kinds of wild animals inhabiting in the area of the National Park. At present, the area will be announced as a national park.

Topography
The geographical features of the National Park consist of high mountains (at the altitude of 350-905 meters above the medium sea level), which are the sources of major gullies, including Huai Mae La-mao, Huai Luek, Huai Pa-wor, Huai Mae Gasa, Huai Mae Kid-luang, Huai Pa-sor, Huai Sa-muen Luang, and Huai Mae Ra-mard, flowing into the agricultural areas of Mae-sod District and Mae Ra-mard District.

Climate
The weather at the National Park is cool and breezy throughout the year. The average highest temperature is 25„aC; meanwhile the lowest temperature is 9„aC; and the average rainfall is 1,676 mm/year. Particularly in the rainy season, you can view the sea of fogs covering the areas of the National Park.

Flora and Fauna
There are various kinds of forests within the areas of the National Park, including mixed forests, virgin forests, and dense forests. Major plants include Indian Mahogany, teaks, Dipterocarpus Tuberculatus (Pluang), Lithocarpus Cantleyanus (Kor), Lagerstroemia (Tabaek), Terminalia Chebula, Afzelia Xylocarpa Roxb., ebony, Millettia Pendula (Ka-jaw), Terminalia Arjuna (Rokfa), Xylia Xylocarpa (redwood plants), etc.

Wild animals found in the National Park include Muntiacus Muntjak, wild boars, bears, langur, flying squirrel, gibbons, cobra, King Cobra, rabbits, squirrels, tree shrews, red jungle fowls, golden cats, etc.

Pa-wor Valley is situated on flatlands of the steep shoulders and being suitable for sightseeing. The Valley is covered with the sea of fogs in the morning.
 
Peung Luang Waterfall
Peung Luang Waterfall is a small-sized waterfall, situated by the roadside of Highway No.1175, in Tambon Sam-muen, Mae Ra-mard District. The Waterfall is very popular among local people and people in nearby areas.

Pha Chomprong and Viewpoint
Pha-prong is a beautiful cliff with 70-year-old Acrostichum Speciosum (palm-like plants) growing everywhere. In particular, the Cliff has a sightseeing spot in the same area, where you can view a beautiful sunset and scenery of Mae Ra-mard District, as well as the sea of fogs covering the area of Tambon Sam-muen, Mae Ra-mard District in the morning.

Phak-phai (Sa-muen Dum) Waterfall
Phak-phai Waterfall is a 70-meter-high waterfall with the flowing water throughout the year. The Waterfall is the source of Mae Ja-rao Gully and may be developed as a significant tourist attraction of Mae Ra-mard District.
 
Sightseeing Spot
The sightseeing spot is situated in Tambon Pa-wor of Mae-sod District (near the Pissawong Hill). From the mountaintop, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Mae-sod District.
 
Tham Nang Ma-nora
Tham Nang Ma-nora is situated in Tambon Pa-wor of Mae-sod District.
 
Tham Pha-peung
Tham Pha-peung is a beautiful cave with a natural large-sized basin situated at the end of the cave and being regarded as a prominent tourist attraction of the cave.

  How to go?
     By Car
 

From the city of Tak, you may take Highway No.105 (Tak-Mae-sod) until reaching km62, and turn to Pa-wor Shrine. Then, travel on foot for approximately 750 meters and you will reach the temporary office of the National Park. The total distance from Tak Province to the National Park’s temporary office is approximately 62 kilometers.
