Phu Pha Wua Forest Park located in Na Krai Village, Kok Kong Village, Kud Wah Sub-district, Kushi Narai District, Kalasin province, situated in Dong Dan Yae National Reserved Forest, covered the area of 4,000 rais. The Royal Forest Department declared this forest Park on February 20, 1996.
Topography
Its a mountain range, approximately 200-300 metres above average sea level. Theres a cliff or area called the edge of the earth. You can appreciate the panorama landscape and scenery. There are Tham Men Mountain and Ma Toom Mountain where are about 300-400 metres height and are watershed area of Tad Yao Waterfall and Tad Sung Waterfall. The area nearby the waterfall comprised with emerging rocks and stone ground.
Flora and Fauna
Forest type of the Phu Pha Wua Mountain, Phu Tham Men Mountain and Phu Matoom Mountain is Dry Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest. Flora found are Shorea Obtusa, Shorea Siamensis, Irvingia malayana and Dipterocarpus macrocarpus. Forest type around the Tad Sung Waterfall and Ched Sii Waterfall is the Mixed Deciduous Forest.
Mostly fauna found are small animals such as palm civets, rabbits, snakes and various bird species.
